Cyber Gold Quest is a mission to build serious cybersecurity capability from Uttarakhand. This 60-90 minute seminar brings teachers, parents and Classes 7-12 students into the same conversation about credible career, competition and study pathways. Teachers and parents are strongly encouraged to join so genuine interest can be recognised and guided early.

A shared opportunity
Cyber Gold Quest needs more teachers, parents, students and schools to see that serious cyber capability can be built from here. Schools need credible ways to place new paths in front of students before choices narrow. The seminar is where those interests meet.
By helping students and parents understand emerging technology pathways, teachers demonstrate thought leadership and strengthen their role as forward-thinking guides. The seminar gives them current context and credible next steps.
Cybersecurity is becoming critical to the digital economy, public systems and national resilience. IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras launching four-year B.Cyber programmes is a strong institutional signal that this is now a serious academic and career direction. Parents gain the context to recognise genuine interest, ask better questions and support early practice before academic choices narrow.
Students see a path they can begin now: school-age CTFs such as InCTF Junior, programming and systems foundations, competition through IndiaSkills, and formal study such as B.Cyber at IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras. Cybersecurity becomes more than an abstract job title. It becomes a sequence of skills, evidence, study choices and career possibilities in a critical sector.

Every school reached widens awareness, brings another institution into the mission and increases the chance that a student with genuine interest encounters the field early enough to begin. That is why there is no fee for the awareness seminar.
Ajay Dewari and Lalit Kandpal progressed from Uttarakhand State Gold (2024) to North Region Gold (2026) and IndiaSkills National Bronze (2026). Their result makes the path more believable for the next student from here.
IndiaSkills is the national competition and selection pathway. WorldSkills is the international stage where selected and prepared competitors represent India against global skill standards.
What the school community leaves understanding
By the end of the session, teachers, parents and students should share a clearer view of cybersecurity as a technical career, what early practice looks like, how competition and study pathways differ, and where current information can be verified.
Teachers and parents leave with current references for guiding interest after the session, while students leave with credible places where they can continue exploring.
